Online Payment Security Policy
1. Introduction
1.1 This Payment Security Policy,
1.1.1 applies to Registered Users who have purchase Goods through the Maximed Pharmacy’s Website and who have active online store accounts with Maximed Pharmacy;
1.1.2 forms part of the Maximed Pharmacy Website Terms and Conditions and accordingly words defined in the Terms and Conditions shall have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise.
2. Payment Security
2.1 Our payment gateway uses PCI DSS or Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and no credit card details are stored on the Maximed Pharmacy website or servers. The goal of the standard is to ensure the protection of card-holder data. In an online merchant (or ecommerce / card-not-present) environment, card-holder data typically refers to the PAN (Primary Account Number) displayed on the card, the card-holders name, card expiry date and CVV or security code on the back of the card.
2.2 Our gateway also subscribes to the GDPR Ready regulations (EU General Data Protection Regulation) and Online Fraud Detention Monitoring, secured by PayProtectorTM
3. Payment Options Accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and Master Card cards, PayPal, Instant EFT, Visa Checkout, MobiCred, SnapScan, Zapper, Masterpass and MTN MoMo, or by bank transfer into Maximed Pharmacy’s bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
4. Credit Card Acquiring and Security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Maximed Pharmacy by PayGate who are our approved payment gateway.
5. Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand).
